ER - QMUL
Paolo Bonomi was born in 1975 in Vigevano (PV) a town in the province of Pavia, Lombardy, northern Italy.

He obtained a degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies (CTF) in 2005 at The University of Pavia. Paolo defended his PhD at The University of Milan in 2008. His research was focused on a chemo-enzymatic approach, developed in a laboratory at The University of Pavia, for the synthesis of oligosaccharides useful for the preparation of glycoproteins with potentially application as vaccines. Another project was pointed on the synthesis of hydroxy tetralols in enantiomeric pure forms as precursor in the synthesis of molecules with activity against neuronal diseases.

Paolo joined Dr Marina Resmini's lab at the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences, Queen Mary, University of London, in 2009 as an Experienced Researcher in the NASCENT Network, a scientific project funded by the European Commission, Marie Curie Actions, RTN, FP6.

In 2010 he obtained a two-year contract as Experienced Researcher to work on IRMED also coordinated by Dr Resmini.
